The MLM2PRO is the only unit under $1,000 that can measure spin directly, and its automatic swing video is a genuine coaching tool. The catch is the $199.99 Core plan, which holds back measured spin, club path and attack angle, and the RPT balls the spin reading depends on.

What it measures
The MLM2PRO combines Doppler radar with two cameras. One camera records your swing; the other watches the ball at impact. With Rapsodo's RPT balls, which carry a special marking, the ball camera measures spin rather than estimating it.
Without the Core plan, you get the basics. Measured spin, club path and attack angle need Core.
Room and setup
It sits behind the ball like other radar units, so plan on a deep room indoors, about 16 ft from the back wall to the screen.
Subscription and real cost
The Core plan costs $199.99 a year and the Studios plan $399.99. A 21-day Core trial comes with the device. At its $699.99 list price plus three years of Core, the MLM2PRO costs about $1,300, the same as a FlightScope Mevo Gen2 that needs no plan. On sale near $550, it's closer to $1,150.
What to know before buying
- RPT balls wear and need replacing.
- Key data disappears if the plan lapses.
- Needs a deep room indoors.

Questions
Do I need RPT balls?
Only for measured spin. Regular balls still give you speed, launch and carry.
What happens if I cancel Core?
You keep the basic data but lose measured spin, club path, attack angle and simulator features.
