What it measures
The ST MAX combines a photometric camera with dual Doppler radar. The camera measures ball speed, launch and spin at impact. It doesn't report attack angle.
Room and setup
It sits beside the ball, so about 10 ft of depth is enough. It's designed for use on a mat, not grass. SkyTrak recommends packages sized for rooms about 12 ft wide and deep with a 9 ft ceiling.
Subscription and real cost
The Essential plan for course play costs $99.99 a year. With three years of it, the ST MAX costs about $2,000. Certified refurbished units sell for about $1,195.
Complete packages
SkyTrak's ST MAX Standard Studio costs $4,495 with a 10 ft enclosure and short-throw projector; the Ultimate Studio costs $5,495. See our simulator package guide.
